Frequently Asked Questions
Can I get PMI credits? Am I eligible for PDUs?
The workshop aligns with 16 credit hours. You may be eligible to receive 16 PDU’s through the Project Management Institute. However, each participant is responsible for verifying their eligibility standing for PDUs with PMI (check PMI.org for details on eligibility requirements for certification and recertification credits). You will receive an electronic letter of completion two weeks following your participation in the Project Boot Camp.
When will the next one be? And will there be a recording?
There is no guarantee we will EVER do another another one of these workshops. So don’t wait for “next time”, because as of right now there is no next time. Though we may record portions of the session to use for future content, as of now there are no plans to make recordings available. To get the full workshop experience, you have to sign up and show up... so it’s a good idea to sign up now!
What time do we start and end each day?
We start each day at 8:30 am, and we end at 5 pm… so you need to arrive the day before the event starts and leave the day after. That means if you are traveling into town, you should at least arrive at your hotel on Monday, June 19th.
What if I haven’t had basic project training yet? Will I be lost?
Ideally, you have project management experience, though it does not need to be formal training. It doesn’t matter whether if you are an experienced project manager, however you will get more from the workshop if you are working in or impacted by the project environment. The emphasis of this event is to get you to craft a project methodology that you can use in your project environment. You’ll find that Sharon will define key project terms during the workshop, in most cases.
Can I send this link to invite others? Is this really only for contacts on Sharon’s list?
Yes, you can send this link to invite others. It is true that Sharon hand selects some of the people with whom invites get sent to, registration for this event is open to any like-minded professionals who are eager to learn and have fun. Do I have to come for all 2 days – can I skip sessions?
Each workshop session is carefully planned. If you skip sessions, you will miss out on key parts to help you excel. So to get the benefit of this exclusive session, you will want to come for all 2 days and attend every session.
Where are you hosting the event?
The event will be in New York City. We will send out the location details a week or two after registration closes, so that we can account for the number of participants. The workshop will be held at in an ultra-cool location with plenty of nearby amenities. That way you can choose from any of the nearby hotels that fits your needs and/or budget.
Can I bring someone who is not on Sharon’s list?
Yes, but each participant must have a paid registration in order to be admitted to the workshop.
If I change my mind, can I get a refund?
Because we need to have an accurate count for the venue, and because we are holding a seat for you, there are no refunds for ticket purchases. Once you’ve paid your enrollment fee, there are no refunds. However, you may send someone in your place. You must notify us in writing at least 24 hours in advance of the start of the workshop, if someone else will attend in your place.
